Sonata in Roses

The Idea

This isn't about just hearing music; it’s about the physical tension of it. It’s a woman with a violin, buried in roses, caught in that moment where the sound actually hits you. I wanted to capture the feeling of being completely occupied by a song—no room for outside noise, just the music and the person.

The Work

The roses are messy and abstract. I didn't want them to look like a florist's arrangement; I wanted them to feel like an environment that's closing in. The "Grit" is in the contrast between the hard lines of the violin and the unedited, raw marks of the flowers. You can see where the paint was pushed around to create that sense of being "surrounded."

The Point

It’s a piece about focus. It’s for the person who uses music or art to tune out the world. It’s a loud, colorful painting that actually creates a sense of quiet.

THE COLLECTOR'S EXPERIENCE

I am in total awe of her talent and the intention to detail she incorporated into this masterpiece. She has captured my expression and personality beautifully. Classic with a contemporary elegant twist, far exceeding my own vision. I am so pleased I trusted Tash’s judgment and style to create something so beautiful that will be treasured forever. I will definitely use Tash again for future commissions.

It has this layered beauty to it that I find incredibly calming and majestic. You can see and feel the heart, soul and passion you pour into every detail of your creations. Your art style is a stunning form of self-expression and story telling, and it's also such a wonderful reflection of the thoughtful, beautiful and inspiring person that you are.

Absolutely in love with our new artwork! This piece of art is beautiful and as soon as I saw it, I just knew I had to have it in our house. It is the second painting we have in our house by Tash and I am sure it will not be the last.
