Allure

The Idea

So often, we are expected to compartmentalise our lives—to fit our emotions, our time, and our energy into perfectly structured boxes. I painted "Allure" as a gentle study in contrasts. The rigid, geometric lines of the glass vase represent the structure we build around ourselves, but the blooms tell a different story. They are soft, sprawling, and beautifully untamed. One blossom has even fallen to the table, resting quietly exactly where it landed. This piece is about the grace of allowing our softness to spill over the edges of the structures we’ve built.

The Work

In this painting, I wanted to capture the delicate tension between sharp clarity and dreamy softness. The faceted vase is painted with cooler, icy blues and structured angles, anchoring the composition. Above it, the florals are completely unrestricted—rendered in pillowy blush pinks, warm mauves, and soft creams. I let the background blur into a hazy, atmospheric dreamscape, using loose, sweeping brushstrokes and quiet, scribbled mark-making in the lower corners to give the piece a lived-in, deeply romantic texture.

The Point

"Allure" is meant to be a quiet companion for your walls. It is a visual reminder that you do not have to be rigid to be strong. It belongs in a room where you can truly exhale—a space that invites you to drop your heavy armor, embrace your own softness, and simply just be.

THE COLLECTOR'S EXPERIENCE

I am in total awe of her talent and the intention to detail she incorporated into this masterpiece. She has captured my expression and personality beautifully. Classic with a contemporary elegant twist, far exceeding my own vision. I am so pleased I trusted Tash’s judgment and style to create something so beautiful that will be treasured forever. I will definitely use Tash again for future commissions.

It has this layered beauty to it that I find incredibly calming and majestic. You can see and feel the heart, soul and passion you pour into every detail of your creations. Your art style is a stunning form of self-expression and story telling, and it's also such a wonderful reflection of the thoughtful, beautiful and inspiring person that you are.

Absolutely in love with our new artwork! This piece of art is beautiful and as soon as I saw it, I just knew I had to have it in our house. It is the second painting we have in our house by Tash and I am sure it will not be the last.
